Glass Fused To Steel Tank With Freely Scalable Volumes 40m3 – 18600m3
Basic Introduction
Glass fused to steel tank is of modular bolted-panel construction, vertical cylindrical construction, factory-fabricated and site-assembled.
The glass fused to steel rounded ( cylindrical ) shell of the tank is built from two-layer glass-fused sheets coated on both sides, the sheets are attached with special high-grade bolts and sealed by constantly flexible sealant. The connecting material and shell accessories are equipped by the surface treatment. This bolted system allows for freely scalable storage volumes, rapid installation, remodel, dismantle and re-location.
On both sides of the steel sheet, there are two layers of enamel ( glass ) which is backed in continuous furnace with temperature exceeding 850 °C. This tight bond provides superior corrosion protection. The glass-fused-to-steel tanks have been widely used for the storage of liquid and bulk material during the last decade. And now it is used it is used as the basic structural element of environmental process sets such as waste water treatment plant (WWPT) and biogas digester / holder.
